Mar. 2008, AEM introduces High Current Chip Fuses in 1206 size - from 10A to 20A.

1206 size High Current Chip Fuses. The fuses are rated at 24 volts with a
current rating ranging from 10A to 20A. Constructed as multilayer monolithic
structure, the new 1206 size High Current Chip Fuses are specially designed for
applications with high power consumption requirements and size limit. It is
ideal for applications in servers, storage systems, notebooks, telecom and power
supplies, etc. The new high current fuses are Pb-free and comply with the

Sep. 16, 2004 - AEM introduces new Slow-blow Surface Mount Chip Fuses
San Diego, CA – AEM, Inc., a worldwide leading manufacturer of high-reliability fuses for aerospace and military industries, has expanded its commercial SolidMatrix® fast-acting fuse line with the introduction of a new product series, surface-mount 1206 (3216)
size slow-blow fuses. The new slow-blow fuses are rated at 32 volts to 63 volts with a current rating ranging from 1A to 8A. AEM plans to launch its 0603 and 0402 slow-blow fuses in the coming months.

A U.S. patent, which was filed on Dec. 17, 1998, was granted to AEM, Inc. and the inventors, JefferyD. Montgomery, Xiangming Li, Daniel H. Chang, Kenneth M. Wallace and Kenneth X. Kuang. U.S. Patent No. 6,034,589 for a "Multi-Layer and Multi-Element Monolithic Surface Mount Fuse and Method of Making the Same" was issued by the Patent and Trademark Office of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
